IPL Hair removal

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) hair removal works by using broad-spectrum light to target melanin in hair follicles, converting the light energy into heat. This heat damages or destroys the follicle, inhibiting future hair growth. It’s a non-invasive treatment that can be used on various body areas and offers long-lasting hair reduction.

We use the latest IPL technology for hair removal with excellent near-permanent hair removal results. We use UltraLux Pro machine that offers three modes of hair removal: IPL, IPL Super Hair Removal (SHR) and Dual Mode hair removal. Using all three technologies, we can treat nearly all hair types and colours and body areas.

SHR is a breakthrough innovation in IPL treatments. The advantage of IPL SHR is that SHR scans the treatment area with up to 10 flashes per second. This gradually heats the targeted area for painless hair removal, instead of high intensity shots experienced with traditional IPL.

Dual mode combines IPL with Radiofrequency energy. This technology allows for treatment of lighter pigmented hair, including darker shades of blonde and red hair. It also allows to treat difficult / small skin areas, such as upper lip, chin, areola, etc.

How it works:

An IPL device emits a range of light wavelengths that are absorbed by melanin, the pigment in hair. The absorbed light energy is converted into heat within the hair follicle. This heat damages the hair follicle, disrupting its ability to produce new hair. The process leads to a reduction in hair growth, with some follicles potentially being permanently disabled. Radiofrequency delivers a further targeted heat to the hair follicles, enhancing the results of IPL (Dual mode IPL)

Suitable for Various Areas:

IPL can be used on different body parts, including arms, legs, and the bikini area, depending on individual needs.

While IPL can significantly reduce hair growth, it isn’t a permanent solution and maintenance treatments are required long term.

Generally, 6-10 treatments are needed. Face may be treated at 2-4 weeks intervals, while the chest, back and legs may be treated 8 weeks apart.
